Worthy F.N. SK’s Martin Polz and Tony Badowski along with Br Knight Gerry Van Aert from OLOV Council 10889 travelled to Agassiz yesterday to view and report on the Santa Maria’s condition.
After inspection we identified three areas of concern.
1- the mast inserts need to be strenghten for front and rear.
2- rear poop deck must strenghten where the hinges attach. This area is loosening the rear of ship.
3- a general spruce up including revarnishing and painting ships hull as well as the towing trailer.
An agreement was reached to move the Santa Maria into Gerrry’s shop in Pitt Meadows in early April. Gerry is taking the lead, but requires other members to assist with specific tasks!
