Port Moody Centennial Parade – June 22nd, 2013

What a beautiful day for a parade! It was cool, with an overcast sky, and probably 100 floats (we were number 76!) participated in Port Moody’s Centennial Parade. Two Sir Knights showed up in Regalia, Sir Knight’s Zeus (Captain) and Mark (PFN), together with Knights from Council 9846 in Port Moody, in their signature Orange T-Shirts, as well as from Council 9125, Our Lady of the Assumption Council.

The Santa Maria, as usual, was quite the crowd pleaser, with children and adults alike appreciating the detailed craftsmanship of the late Sir Knight Tony and of course the meticulous hand of SK Gerry from Our Lady of the Valley Council in Maple Ridge, who was instrumental in the restoration the Santa Maria last year. Through the outstanding efforts of these stellar Sir Knights, we have this fantastic vehicle which with to promote our Order and all that it represents…the bringing of Catholicism to North America!

Vivat Jesus!
