Marian Procession 2013

6  Honour Guards assembled to escort the statue of Our Lady in the annual Marian Procession at St. Joseph’s Port Moody. District Marshall Elemer, Faithful Navigator Mark, Colour Commander Mark Edward, and Sir Knights Zeus, Larry and John marched with the procession, flanking the statue and bearers.

The statue proper was carried by brothers Justin, Rome and Patricio, all  members of the 3rd degree council 9846 of Port Moody as well as members of the parish Legion of Mary. Chancellor Jet Valmonte led the Rosary on an innovative rolling microphone/speaker setup and Brother Rolly of 9846 led the entire procession with brother Knights John Rochard Stefan Ziemnicki helping to ensure everyone stayed in line.

The procession itself was about 800 meters long and wound its way around the block and into the main street of Port Moody, St. John’s Street. Many thanks to the Port Moody Police Department for their assistance in ensuring the procession safety and blocking traffic for us.
